Inside the WH West Wing Tour

Family events held here include the June 2, 1886 wedding of Grover Cleveland, the only President to marry in the White House. Since 1961 (excepting 1962 and 1969), the principal White House Christmas tree has been placed in the center of the room. Green RoomThroughout much of its existence, the Green Room has served as a parlor for teas and receptions. Here, Frances Cleveland held her first White House reception, and Edith Roosevelt received guests before the Friday musicales and concerts held in the adjoining East Room. Under Thomas Jefferson, it was a dining room with a green canvas floor cloth. By 1825, under John Quincy Adams, the room had become the “Green Drawing Room,” named for the color of the draperies and upholsteries.

Capitol and the White House.[17] Hoban was born in Ireland and trained at the Dublin Society of Arts. He emigrated to the U.S. after the American Revolution, first seeking work in Philadelphia and later finding success in South Carolina, where he designed the state capitol in Columbia. With structural problems mounting from the 1902 installation of floor-bearing steel beams, most of the building’s interior was stripped bare as a new concrete foundation went in place. The Trumans helped redesign most of the state rooms and decorate the second and third floors, and the president proudly displayed the results during a televised tour of the completed house in 1952. The building’s South and North Porticoes were added in 1824 and 1829, respectively, while John Quincy Adams established the residence’s first flower garden. Subsequent administrations continued to overhaul and bolster the interior through Congressional appropriations; the Fillmores added a library in the second-floor oval room, while the Arthurs hired famed decorator Louis Tiffany to redecorate the east, blue, red and state dining rooms.

President Bill Clinton briefly revived the New Year's Day open house in his first term. In 1902, with the removal of a staircase at this end of the Cross Hall, the State Dining Room was enlarged and completely redesigned for President Theodore Roosevelt. Remaining from that renovation are the oak paneling (first painted in 1952), the three eagle-pedestal side tables, and the lighting fixtures (gilded in 1961). Wild animal heads that had been hung on the dark wooden walls were removed in the 1920s. Today, using circular tables, as many as 140 guests can dine in the room for formal events.

The White House since the Kennedy restoration

The original Oval Office was added in 1909 when president William Howard Taft extended the West Wing. This was later expanded in the 1930s, when president Franklin Roosevelt moved the Oval Office to its current Rose Garden-adjacent location. Following the post-fire renovations, the South portico was added in 1824 and the North portico in 1829. The West Wing lobby is the reception room for visitors of the President, Vice President, and White House staff. The current lobby was renovated by Richard Nixon in 1970 to provide a smaller, more intimate receiving space. In addition to covering the walls with hand-painted striped wallpaper, President Obama added a new oval-shaped rug, which is made of 25% recycled wool.

Early use, 1814 burning, and reconstruction

In 1902, President Theodore Roosevelt began a major renovation of the White House, including the relocation of the President’s offices from the Second Floor of the Residence to the newly constructed temporary Executive Office Building (now known as the West Wing). The Roosevelt renovation was planned and carried out by the famous New York architectural firm McKim, Mead and White. Roosevelt’s successor, President William Howard Taft, had the Oval Office constructed within an enlarged office wing. In 1902, President Theodore Roosevelt relocated his office from the second floor of the residence to this newly constructed building. The West Wing has expanded and undergone several renovations since then, but it has remained the official workplace of the President.

More than two centuries later, it has been home to 45 US leaders, from Adams to current US President Joe Biden. In 2000, the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room was named in honor of former Press Secretary James Brady. He was shot and disabled during a 1981 assassination attempt on President Ronald Reagan.

Before 19th-century state dinners, the guests would be greeted by the President and his wife in the Red Room. Because the 1877 Inauguration Day fell on a Sunday, the oath was administered on Saturday evening with the public ceremonies at the Capital taking place the following Monday. Theodore Roosevelt used the Red Room as a "smoking room" where male guests adjourned after dinner for cigars and brandy. The room continues to be used today as a parlor for guests after dinner and during receptions. The Blue RoomArchitect James Hoban’s 1792 plan for the White House included three stacked oval rooms in the center of the building that form a projecting bow on the south side. This room was known by its shape - "Elliptical", "Oval", or "Circular" - until the color was changed to blue in 1837 under Martin Van Buren and a new name emerged.

The residence features a 42-seat movie theater and a tennis and basketball court. The White House bowling alley was given as a gift to President Truman and was later moved to the basement of the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. Each president adds their own personal style to the workspace, choosing artwork from the White House collection or borrowing from museums. Six desks have been used in the Oval Office, the most famous of which is the Resolute desk. Made of wood from the HMS Resolute, the desk is currently in use by President Biden. Architect Lorenzo Winslow oversaw the three-year gut renovation, during which the inside of the White House was demolished and completely rebuilt.

The Carters recount the story of daughter Amy roller-skating through the East Room. Barbara Bush and Michelle Obama share how they managed to make the White House a home for their families. In September 1961, the White House was declared a museum by the US Congress, protecting the furniture, fixtures and decorative arts. Anything not on show at the White House was instructed to be handed to the Smithsonian Institution to be preserved, studied or exhibited, but can be called back to the White House to be displayed. A less than a decade later, first lady Jacqueline Kennedy, wife of president John F Kennedy, began a decorative restoration in 1961. After it was built between 1792 and 1800, Adams moved into the White House with his wife, Abigail Adams, when it was still unfinished.

More than two dozen journalists in Gaza wrote a letter last week calling on their colleagues in Washington to boycott the dinner altogether. Protest organizers said they aimed to bring attention to the high numbers of Palestinian and other Arab journalists killed by Israel's military since the war began in October. Law enforcement, including the Secret Service, instituted extra street closures and other measures to ensure what Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said would be the "highest levels of safety and security for attendees."

President Biden’s American Rescue Plan (ARP)—which represents the largest single-year investment in ending homelessness in U.S. history—helped prevent a surge of homelessness. Through the Treasury Department’s State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund, for instance, the six ALL INside sites have invested more than $2.5 billion in projects focused on reducing and preventing homelessness. The ARP provided $5 billion for 70,000 Emergency Housing Vouchers—the first HUD voucher specifically for people experiencing homelessness beyond veterans. The Neoclassical design of the White House is based primarily on architectural concepts inherited from the Roman architect Vitruvius and the Venetian architect Andrea Palladio.

In 1913, the White House added another enduring feature with Ellen Wilson’s Rose Garden. A fire during the Hoover administration in 1929 destroyed the executive wing and led to more renovations, which continued after Franklin Roosevelt entered office. Until 1902 two large staircases led from the State Floor to the Second Floor. A staircase at the west end of the Cross Hall that led to the Family Quarters was removed in 1902 to enlarge the State Dining Room. The winding staircase to the east of the Entrance Hall led to the rooms on the east end of the Second Floor that were used as the presidential offices before the creation of the West Wing. When the 1902 Grand Staircase was rebuilt during the Truman renovation, it was redirected to open into the Entrance Hall for more dramatic formal descents from the Second Floor.

Ford’s pool was built on the South Lawn, and Roosevelt’s indoor pool was covered and turned into a press briefing room. “Everything in the White House must have a reason for being there,” the first lady told Life magazine in 1961. That is a question of scholarship.” Kennedy showed off the restoration during a televised tour that aired on CBS in 1962. In 1800, President John Adams and first lady Abigail Adams moved into the still unfinished building on November 1.

As the official office of the President and his primary place of work, the Oval Office provides the President with easy access to his senior advisors and the Executive Residence. Navy Stewards have provided food service to the Commander in Chief since 1880. The modern White House Navy Mess was established under President Harry S. Truman in 1951. The Navy’s culinary specialists prepare and serve fine foods in the West Wing. The White House Tour entrance is located in Sherman Park at 15th Street NW and Alexander Hamilton Place NW. Criticism of the Biden administration's support for Israel's military offensive in Gaza has spread through American college campuses, with students pitching encampments and withstanding police sweeps in an effort to force their universities to divest from Israel. "Shame on you!" protesters draped in the traditional Palestinian keffiyeh cloth shouted, running after men in tuxedos and suits and women in long dresses holding clutch purses as guests hurried inside for the dinner. Biden's speech, which lasted around 10 minutes, made no mention of the ongoing war or the growing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Instead, Washington and his secretary of state, Thomas Jefferson, decided that the design would be chosen through a national competition. The West Wing is known as the location of the presidential offices today, but it wasn't so until 1901, when Roosevelt moved official operations to the newly constructed wing on account of crowding within the executive mansion. The residence was designed by Irish-born architect James Hoban in the Neoclassical style.[4] Hoban modeled the building on Leinster House in Dublin, a building which today houses the Oireachtas, the Irish legislature. Construction took place between 1792 and 1800, with an exterior of Aquia Creek sandstone painted white. Reconstruction began almost immediately, and President James Monroe moved into the partially reconstructed Executive Residence in October 1817.

Visitors come from around the world to the nation's capital to get a glimpse of the impressive structure. The following White House photos show closeup views of the home and office of the U.S. The practice continued until 1885, when newly elected Grover Cleveland arranged for a presidential review of the troops from a grandstand in front of the White House instead of the traditional open house.

First Lady Dolley Madison — who lived in the White House at the time — refused to leave the burning building until the portrait was accounted for. If you set out to paint the outside surface of the White House, you'd need at least 570 gallons of paint, according to the White House Historical Association. Boasting 55,000-square-feet of living space, the White House has 132 rooms, 35 bathrooms, 412 doors, 147 windows, 28 fireplaces, eight staircases and three elevators, all spread across six floors. Laura Bush and former staff members remember how the White House struggled to remain the nation’s calm center, despite the imminent threat of a terrorist attack. First Children Lynda Johnson Robb, Susan Ford Bales, and Jenna Bush Hagar, recall what it was like growing up in the White House.

Red RoomThe most striking element of this room is its vibrant red color scheme. This parlor has been known as the “Red Room” since 1845, when a suite of furniture upholstered in “Crimson Plush” was introduced to the room. During Thomas Jefferson’s occupancy of the White House, the Red Room was called the "President's Anti-chamber," a room set aside for those having appointments with the President, whose office was in the adjacent room now used as the State Dining Room. Since then it has been a favorite of President's wives as their "private parlor" to receive friends and official callers. Inventories of the John Quincy Adams administration note that a pianoforte had been placed in the room.

The White House sits on an 18-acre plot of land in the heart of Downtown Washington, D.C. The grounds include gardens, a putting green, a swimming pool, a tennis court, and a basketball court. The general layout of the White House grounds today is based on the 1935 design by Frederick Law Olmsted Jr. of the Olmsted Brothers firm, commissioned by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. During the Kennedy administration, the White House Rose Garden was redesigned by Rachel Lambert Mellon.

Before the construction of the North Portico, most public events were entered from the South Lawn, the grading and planting of which was ordered by Thomas Jefferson. Jefferson also drafted a planting plan for the North Lawn that included large trees that would have mostly obscured the house from Pennsylvania Avenue. During the mid-to-late 19th century a series of ever larger greenhouses were built on the west side of the house, where the current West Wing is located. During this period, the North Lawn was planted with ornate carpet-style flowerbeds. When Chester A. Arthur took office in 1881, he ordered renovations to the White House to take place as soon as the recently widowed Lucretia Garfield moved out. William Taft hired architect Nathan Wyeth to expand the executive wing in 1909, resulting in the formation of the Oval Office as the president’s work space.

Here, the president charts the course for the country, and the First Family lives in the spotlight. It's a bunker in times of war, a backdrop for command performances or state visits, and the heart of the American body politic. President Thomas Jefferson first opened the White House for public tours because he understood then, as we do now, that this house belongs to the American people. In our country, the halls of government are not reserved for a privileged few, and the President’s workplace should be no exception. Your visit today helps to fulfill my goal of creating the most open and accessible administration in American history.

During the War of 1812, the British set fire to the President’s House, and James Hoban was appointed to rebuild it. James Monroe moved into the building in 1817, and during his administration, the South Portico was constructed. Various proposals were put forward during the late 19th century to significantly expand the President’s House or to build an entirely new residence, but these plans were never realized. Today’s announcement builds on historic support by the Biden-Harris Administration to help states and cities battle homelessness.

Early maps referred to the White House as the “President’s Palace,” but in 1810, the building was officially named “Executive Mansion” in order to avoid any connection to royalty. The residence has also been called “President’s House,” or “President’s Mansion.” In 1901, President Theodore Roosevelt changed the official name to “White House,” a moniker that had been used throughout the 19th century. “There had been a pool inside the White House added by Franklin Roosevelt that he would use as exercise for his polio, but later, Gerald Ford wanted an outdoor pool,” says Fling.

Today’s structure was built in 1942 and sits atop the Presidential Emergency Operations Center. The two-story East Wing houses the office spaces of the first lady and her staff. The central Executive Residence is home to the president’s living spaces and the State Rooms. The ground floor originally housed service areas, but now includes the Diplomatic Reception Room, the White House Library, the Map Room, the Vermeil Room, and the China Room. The State Floor features some of the White House’s most treasured spaces, including the East Room, the Blue, Red, and Green Rooms, the State Dining Room, and the Family Dining Room. Set on 18 acres of land, the White House is made up of the Executive Residence, the East Wing, and the West Wing, with its famous Oval Office.

The three-level southern façade combines Palladian and neoclassical architectural styles. The south portico was completed in 1824.[33] At the center of the southern façade is a neoclassical projected bow of three bays. The bow is flanked by five bays, the windows of which, as on the north façade, have alternating segmented and pointed pediments at first-floor level. The bow has a ground-floor double staircase leading to an Ionic colonnaded loggia and the Truman Balcony, built in 1946.[33] The more modern third floor is hidden by a balustraded parapet and plays no part in the composition of the façade.

This was done to link the new portico with the earlier carved roses above the entrance. Not long after the inauguration of President George Washington in 1789, plans to build an official President’s House in a federal district along the Potomac River took shape. A contest to find a builder produced a winning design from Irish-born architect James Hoban, who modeled his building after an Anglo-Irish villa in Dublin called the Leinster House. Although special meetings, luncheons, and dinners have been held in the room, it continues to be used for the purpose first intended - the formal reception room of the White House. It is here that the President and his wife often receive guests during receptions. The first Chinese delegation to present diplomatic credentials was received by President Rutherford B. Hayes in the Blue Room in 1878.

Also known as the “45 second commute,” the West Colonnade was built for Thomas Jefferson to run alongside service spaces underneath the West Terrace, such as the ice house and storage rooms for coal and wood. The open columned walkway is now used by the President and his staff to travel between the West Wing and the Executive Residence. Use of public transportation is strongly encouraged, as there is no parking available on the White House complex and street parking is limited.

Nina assembles the cup and, with the rest of Sibuna, fool Rufus into believing himself immortal. Unfortunately, only the first season of the show (consisting of 27 episodes) was on Netflix and it only took me a few days to watch the show in its entirety. Each 20 to 30 minute episode ended with a cliffhanger and kept me pressing “next episode” every chance I got.

Fortunately for the kids involved that don’t want this to happen, Nina, Fabian, and the rest of the “sibuna” gang find the Cup of Ankh first. An intense series of weird Egyptian objects and complex riddles lead them to it, and they are able to prevent Victor and the other teachers at the school from getting it. House of Anubis is a classic “slow burn” style piece of media, and watching it today, I loved it just as much as I did before. Nina and Fabian have a subtly flirtatious vibe, and the two of them work together to find the missing Cup of Ankh that is hidden somewhere in Anubis House. Teenagers try to solve mysteries they uncover at their British boarding school. Victor plants an "infestation" of mice in the house as an excuse to keep the children away.

Senkhara briefly possesses Nina, intending to use her body to enter the Egyptian afterlife, prompting Eddie to realise his role as the 'Osirian', whose role is to protect the Chosen One. Senkhara, expelled from Nina's body, enters Rufus's and the two are imprisoned in the Underworld. Sibuna attend a school dance together while Victor discovers one of the tears of gold. The head of the house, Victor, used to petrify me, but watching it back he is honestly just funny. He is allegedly 95 years old but does not age, and is supposed to be terrifying but really is just clueless half the time about what the kids in the house are really doing.

Having no DVR at my childhood home meant I could only watch the episodes that came out live, so if I missed an episode I would be devastated. Basically, my favorite show as a child was a series with huge plot holes, but I ate up every second. When I was in first grade or so, my best friend and I were OBSESSED over the hit Nickelodeon series House of Anubis. The newest episode would air, which was awfully late for someone so young. My ability to watch the show was 100% conditional on my behavior that week or on that specific day, meaning I often missed episodes. While hiding the Cup of Ankh, Nina unknowingly sets free an Egyptian spirit, Senkhara.

Senkhara curses Nina with the Mark of Anubis, bending her to her will, and instructs her to find the Mask of Anubis, an artifact able to "weep tears of gold", an ingredient of the elixir of life. Senkhara is displeased with Nina's slow pace and gives the Mark of Anubis to the rest of Sibuna, and to Nina's grandmother, as a threat. An ardent fan of all thriller movies, classic and contemporary, Sounak chose the keyboard over the proverbial pen to express himself. Crime documentaries keep him up at night (in a good way), and he has watched enough to plot the perfect crime.

With Trudy gone, Victor installs security cameras to spy on the kids. / Fabian and Nina find out that the wax cylinders are phonograph cylinders. While hiding from Victor, Nina accidentally opens a secret panel in the attic. You can also see which other countries it is available in (in case you need to change your Netflix country to watch it).

Season 2 will focus on the group looking for a powerful and long-forgotten treasure. While a new teacher, Miss Denby, arrives at the school, new American student K.T. Eddie has a vision of K.T.'s dying grandfather giving her a key and telling her to go to Anubis House. Do some snooping around the house while Fabian tries to decipher a series of codes mistakenly given to Amber. When Amber leaves for fashion school, Sibuna is revived with Eddie as a leader and Fabian, K.T., Patricia and Alfie as members. The Sibunas discover that Miss Harriet Denby's name is actually Caroline.

He runs a secret society in the basement based on “tipping the scales of life” and using the cup of Ankh to gain eternal life for all members involved. When I heard it was coming to Netflix, I immediately texted my best friend in disbelief. It was time to binge-watch yet another series and take a trip down memory lane (also to figure out all the random episodes I had missed in the past). Everybody thinks that the ceremony didn't work out since Sibuna intervened just in time, but when Caroline goes to the gatehouse to pack her bags, she meets Frobisher, who is reawakened and evil.

The acting is subpar at best, and at times I could not help but cringe at some of the lines. Fortunately, the combination of nostalgia and mystery in the plot kept me hooked and so when I finished the first season I was left wishing Netflix had more seasons out. I think it would be really cool to see this show remade in a book or a more adult-style TV show!

Charlotte Hornets: News, Scores, Stats, Headlines, Injury Updates & More

latest news on charlotte hornets

The Charlotte Hornets are coming off of yet another disappointing season. Having won just 48 games throughout the past two years, there are a lot of things that one can point to when assessing what’s wrong with this franchise. "These officers died as heroes and made the ultimate sacrifice in their service to our state," NC Secretary of Adult Correction Todd Ishee said in a release. "We remember them, we honor their service, we send our deepest condolences to their families and friends, and we pray for healing for all affected by this tragic incident." He joined the NCDAC Special Operations and Intelligence Unit in 2016 after serving as a parole officer. That's a potential problem for Clingan's draft position because the Pistons (Jalen Duren), Spurs (Victor Wembanyama) and Blazers (Deandre Ayton) all have starting-caliber centers in place.

Simple draft day trade idea to amplify the Hornets' rebuild

Thanks to their business dealings prior to the trade deadline, they should have plenty of flexibility in free agency. If Miles Bridges returns they will have full use of the Mid-Level Exception $12.9 Million per year and the Bi-Annual Exception $4.6 Million per year. If Bridges were to leave, they could free up to $20 million in CAP space. Factor in the likelihood that the team ends up with an early draft pick, and there’s no reason to suggest that they won’t have several options moving forward.

Miller was drafted second overall by the Hornets at the 2023 NBA Draft. Miller won Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month in January, February and March. Redick is currently one of ESPN's lead color analysts along with Doris Burke.

Jokic, who is widely considered the favorite to win his third MVP trophy, averaged 26.4 points, 12.4 rebounds and 9.0 assists per night. Caruso, who was named to the All-Defensive First Team in ’22/23, is one of the NBA’s top defenders and is known for his all-out playing style. He ranked fourth in the league in steals per game (1.7) and averaged a career-high 1.0 block per game this season. The Charlotte Hornets are an American professional basketball team based in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Hornets compete in the National Basketball Association as a member of the league's Eastern Conference Southeast Division, and play their home games at the Spectrum Center in Uptown Charlotte.

With a roster that doesn’t fit together even when healthy, Atlanta could look to go in a number of different directions this offseason. The Hawks are stuck in the middle, lacking incentive to tank due to the first-round picks they owe the Spurs as a result of acquiring Dejounte Murray and also having several talented players on the roster. Nets general manager Sean Marks has gone through several head coaches during his tenure in Brooklyn, but this was his most exhaustive search process since he hired Kenny Atkinson back in 2016. Atkinson took over a rebuilding club and got them back to the postseason in his third season. With more foundational pieces in place this time around, the Nets are hoping Fernandez can turn things around even faster. Charlotte, which is building around young players like LaMelo Ball and Brandon Miller, is seeking a first-time head coach who specializes in player development to lead its young squad.

The Three Most Likely Hornets To Be Traded This Offseason

He’s reportedly transitioning to a consulting role in Charlotte. Caruso will earn $9.89MM in ’24/25, which is the final season of his contract. As Martin details, when Caruso was on the court, Chicago had the equivalent of Boston’s 110.6 defensive rating, which ranked second in the NBA. When he wasn’t playing, the Bulls had the equivalent of the league’s 24th-ranked defense.

It’s a difficult task to address the needs of a team sitting at the bottom of its respective conference. More often than not, the team is either young, hampered, or confused. We just got done with the 2024 NFL Draft if you’re into that sort of thing, so the smell of drafts is in the air. The Charlotte Hornets and a lot of the rest of the NBA have turned their attention to the NBA Draft, which is now less than two months away and will take two days now.

Trending Teams

The Hornets have added Lakers assistant Jordan Ott and former Vanderbilt coach Jerry Stackhouse to their list of head-coaching candidates. After seven seasons coaching the Charlotte Hornets, Steve Clifford has decided to step down from the job, leaving a vacancy in the process. Turns out, former Los Angeles Lakers champion Metta World Peace is ready and willing to take the role for Buzz City. The former Duke star who played 15 seasons in the NBA has had an interest in making the transition into coaching in recent years.

Southeast Notes: Jaquez, Aller, Harrel, Redick

Prior to joining the Clippers, Larranaga was an assistant coach with the Boston Celtics for nine seasons. He started as a part of Doc Rivers staff, before staying on when Brad Stevens was hired as Boston's head coach. The Charlotte Hornets are looking at every possible nook and crevice to find the perfect head coach to replace Steve Clifford. They have gone through multiple head-coaching candidates, some of whom were notable NBA players in their younger days.

The Charlotte Hornets have reportedly whittled down their list of head coaching candidates. Stackhouse coached Vanderbilt for five seasons from 2019 through 2024. He was also an assistant with both the Toronto Raptors and Memphis Grizzlies, as well as the head coach of Raptors 905 in the G League. J.J. Redick will interview with the Charlotte Hornets for their head coaching vacancy. The Hornets have been granted permission to interview the Kings’ G League coach, Lindsey Harding, for their head coaching opening, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski tweets.

The Hornets are set to interview David Adelman, Charles Lee, Jordi Fernandez, and Kevin Young. The Hornets are also reportedly going to interview Houston Rockets assistant Royal Ivey. Zach Harper explains why the Mavericks have reached contenders status and names his favorite player from each team.

Charlotte native Seth Curry was only able to suit up eight times for the Hornets after being traded to his hometown team at February’s deadline. A Grade 3 right ankle sprain ended his season early, but he anticipates resuming regular workouts soon and being fully healthy for the start of next season, writes Roderick Boone of The Charlotte Observer. Tiebreakers among teams with identical regular-season records were broken on Monday through random drawings to determine the order for this year’s draft prior to the lottery. Jordi Fernandez was also on the Hornets’ list before he was hired as the Nets’ head coach. Ott has spent the last two seasons on Darvin Ham's staff with the Lakers. Previously, Ott was an assistant coach with the Brooklyn Nets for four seasons.

Bryce McGowens is set to enter the third year of his NBA career and with a new coaching staff entering the fold, he and the rest of the Charlotte Hornets will have a blank canvas to work with. Injuries will always carry with them an aspect of misfortune and uncertainty, they will never be completely preventable. However, with LaMelo Ball now openly discussing his consideration of wearing ankle braces, it may be time to have him do whatever is necessary. Having only played 58 games throughout the past two years, Ball’s presence, or lack thereof, will continue to make or break this team. On Tuesday, Jennings identified the names of the other CMPD officers injured during the shooting Monday as Chris Talley, Michael Giglio, Jack Blowers and Joshua Campbell.

One person Peterson has his eyes on New York Knicks executive Brock Aller. This offseason, the Hornets hired Jeff Peterson to run their front office. Zach Harper judges season success for each NBA team as the regular season wraps. Roster evaluation never stops, and these two tiers are intriguing because the top of Tier 4 is somewhat of a ceiling for role players. The star point guard of the Charlotte Hornets, LaMelo Ball, debuted a new look on social media this week when he unveiled the latest addition to his tattoo collection.
